The U.S. has reached a preliminary trade deal with the European Union.

Meeting in Scotland today, they agreed to a 15% base tariff on most EU goods, including

cars, this after months of tense negotiations.

We have a trade deal between the two largest economies in the world.

And it's a big deal.

It's a huge deal.

It will bring stability.

It will bring predictability.

That's very important for our businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.

President Trump says the deal includes more than tariff limits.

And they're agreeing to purchase a vast amount of military equipment. We don't know what that

number is, but the good news is we make the best military equipment in the world. So sort of

you have to do that.

The two sides also agreed to drop tariffs to zero on a number of goods, including aircraft and plane parts. As the Trump administration continues to face pressure over its handling of the

Jeffrey Epstein case, President Trump says, he hasn't considered clemency for Epstein's

longtime associate,
