Russia is dismissing a White House decision to provide additional military weapons to Ukraine through NATO as misguided.

NPR's Charles Main's reports President Trump made the announcement today.

Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Paskov said Trump's decision to supply American military aid to Ukraine through NATO,

marked a continuation of Biden-era policies under a different guise.

Meanwhile, Kareel Dimitri, the Kremlin's pointman for

negotiations with the U.S., pledged dialogue with Washington would continue despite what he said

were doomed efforts to pressure Moscow. And Russia's main market index jumped on the news that Trump

would delay additional sanctions for at least 50 days, during which Trump said he expected Russia

to negotiate a peace deal.

Yet several prominent nationalists seized on that time frame, saying it provided Russia a new

deadline to achieve victory on the battlefield.
