Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Israeli military targeted Iran's main nuclear enrichment facility.

Israel and Iranian state media say two senior Iranian generals have been killed.

Iran has responded firing drones toward Israel. President Trump says Iran

must reach a deal with the U.S. on its nuclear program. Writing online, Trump told Iran to do this

before it's, quote, too late. Countries in the Middle East have closed their air spaces, many have

grounded all flights, NPR's Jane Arrafraf has more from Jordan's capital, Amman.

Air raid siren sounded in Jordan,

a rare occurrence here while announcements from mosques told citizens to seek shelter

and stay away from windows.

Jordan, Israel, Iraq, and Iran halted all civilian air traffic,

and some of the busiest airports in the Arab Gulf canceled

flights due to the risks potentially posed by missiles. The government of Jordan, which neighbors

Israel, said it had intercepted several missiles and drones over flying the country Friday morning.

241 people perished yesterday aboard the Air India

plane in Western India when it crashed. Several people who were on the ground were also killed.

However, one British male passengers survived the crash. The BBC has spoken to his cousin,

as NPR's Lauren Freyer reports from London.

Speaking to the BBC outside his home in Leicester in the British Midlands,

Ajay Valgi says two of his cousins were on the Air India flight

that crashed just after takeoff in Western India.
