Hamas says the latest talks in Cairo on a ceasefire in Gaza have ended and it appears there's been little progress.

A must continues to insist the war be ended in exchange for the release of hostages still being held in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he's willing to

pause the fighting but will not agree to leave Hamas in power. President

Biden wants negotiations to continue to stop the fighting and Pears Myra Leyson has more.

He and the Secretary of State are trying to work on a ceasefire deal.

Politically, Biden needs the war in Gaza to end as soon as possible.

He's been pressuring BB Netanyahu not to conduct a land

invasion of Rafa but it doesn't seem the president has a lot of leverage there.
