Today marks 60 days since the Trump administration formally notified Congress of the war with Iran.

That's the legal deadline to gain approval from lawmakers to continue the conflict.

But as NPR's Franco Ordonez reports, top officials argue hostilities with Iran have ended,

Under the War Powers Act, President Trump is supposed to get congressional approval of a conflict

Defense Secretary Pete Hagseth said that hostilities stopped with the implementation of the ceasefire
