Colman heavy fighting and still being reported in Sudan's Capitol Cartoum and Western

parts of the country.

Hundreds of people have been killed in nearly two weeks of violence.

Michael Colloki reports, despite the ongoing fighting, the two groups battling for control

of Sudan say they have agreed to renew a ceasefire.

The Sudanese Army and the paramilitary group that rapid support forces have agreed to

extend the ceasefire for another 72 hours.

This follows intense diplomatic efforts by the UN, US, UK and the regional East African

Block EGAD.

Despite the agreements, there are continuing reports of gunfire and explosions in the Capitol

Cartoum.

The Sudanese Army says it has agreed to send representatives to South Sudan, which has

offered to host talks to include the RSF.

Over the past week, countries have begun evacuating citizens from the country, while thousands

of Sudanese have also fled from the fighting.

Meanwhile, eight agencies have warned of a growing humanitarian crisis.
