Opening statements are set to take place in a New York courtroom tomorrow

for the criminal hush money trial of former President Donald Trump. A jury was seated Friday

and Piers Andrea Bernstein says tomorrow will be a short day because of the

Passover holiday but that both sides are expected to give opening statements.

Based on what we heard on court on Friday, at least one witness will start testifying. We don't know who that

witness will be because the DA is refusing to extend its usual courtesy of

alerting the defense because of Trump's propensity to post disparaging

comments about some of the witnesses on social media.

In peers Andrea Bernstein reporting, Trump's accused of paying money to an adult

film start to keep her quiet during the 2016 campaign

and covering it up by sending the money to his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, and calling it part of an illegal

retainer.

Cohen's expected to testify in the case.

Trump has pleaded not guilty.

It's the first of four criminal trials he is facing.

Palestinian health officials say Israeli strikes on the southern Gaza city of Rafa overnight

killed 22 people, including 18 children.

And Pierce Peter Kenyan reports, many members of two large families are among the dead.

Raffa is where more than a million Gazans fled for safety on Israel's orders early in the conflict.
