Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Janine Herbst. More than 300 U.S. troops have been wounded in the U.S.

Israeli war in Iran, including 15 injured in an attack last night on a Saudi Arabia air base,

according to the Associated Press. And the Pentagon says around 3,500 sailors and Marines have arrived in the Middle East. This says the

Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have now entered the widening war, launching a missile toward

Israel today that Israel says was successfully intercepted. And Pierce Kari Khan has more.

Up until Saturday's missile launched, the Iranian-backed Houthis had stayed out of this war,

but a Houthi spokesman says attacks will continue until, quote, the aggression on all resistant front stops.

The Yemen-based rebels were active during Israel's war in Gaza, firing on cargo ships in the Red Sea and disrupting global commercial traffic.

Iran hit multiple sites around Tel Aviv and

Jerusalem Saturday. Israel's military says Iran is increasingly using cluster bombs. Designed to

detonate at high altitude, the munition disperses multiple smaller bombs that are more challenging

for Israel's multi-layered air defense system to intercept

and can cause damage over a wider area.

Dozens of countries have signed onto a cluster munitions treaty ban

except Iran, Israel, and the U.S.

Democrats say they'll harness the energy around no king's rallies

that took place around the country today.

Minnesota Public Radio's Dana Ferguson was at the demonstration in St. Paul.

Minnesota State Patrol estimated that 100,000 people gathered for the No King's rally at the state capital.

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin was at the rally and says Democrats will work to channel the enthusiasm toward midterm elections.

The best thing that people can do, we've got 220 days until this election, is keep showing up and voting.
