NPR's Kat Lonsdorf reports Israel's launched devastating airstrikes that have killed more than 400 people and injured at least 500 across Gaza.

Israel says these strikes were targeting senior Hamas officials and that this new offensive is to pressure Hamas to accept a proposal by President Trump's special envoy, Steve Whitkoff, for the release of more Israeli hostages.
