Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Janine Herpst. The families of some Israeli

hostages taken by Hamas on October 7th completed a four-day march to Jerusalem

today. Others joined the hostage families for a rally tonight.

And Piers De Parves has more.

A march organized by the hostages and missing families form

reached Jerusalem on Saturday afternoon. The march began near the

side of the October 7th Hamas-led attack at the Tribe of Nova Music Festival

near the Gaza border. It was intended to draw attention to the roughly 134 hostages still in captivity.

Waving Israeli flags and holding up images of the hostages, the crowd of approximately 15,000 chanted demands for them to be brought

home immediately.

Bring them home!

The march ended with a rally at Jerusalem's Paris Square on Saturday night.

A potential six-week ceasefire deal that could include the release of dozens more hostages

in exchange for the release of several hundred Palestinian prisoners held by Israel is still being negotiated.
