The U.S. is pledging to support Ukraine for as long as it takes.

Ampere's Windsor-Johnston reports President Biden and other world leaders are reaffirming

their commitment as Russia's war in Ukraine enters its second year.

President Biden says the Pentagon is sending Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky what

he needs in the current phase of the conflict.

He needs tanks, he needs artillery, he needs air defense, including another high-mort,

there are things he needs now that we're sending him to put him in a position to be able

to make gains this spring in this summer going in the fall.

Zelensky is pledging that Ukrainian forces will continue to fight with the help of Western

weapons.

The Biden administration on Friday announced an additional $2 billion security assistance

package for Ukraine, including munitions for laser-guided rocket systems.

Many mountain communities in Southern California remain under a rare, blizzard warning today.

A powerful winter storm is bringing feet of snow to the higher elevations and has shut

down a portion of I-5, a major north-south route in the state.

As MacGillum of Member Station KCRW reports, watches and warnings are blanketing the

station.

The storm is dusted even some low-lying parts of Southern California with snow and

brought several inches of rain so far to parts of the region.
