In Turkey and Syria, burials continue for the thousands of people killed by Monday's

massive earthquake and aftershocks.

And Beers Jason Voby and reports from Southern Turkey the death toll is now approaching 21,000

people.

In the city of Mara, shworkers in small white and green pickup trucks collect corpses

zipped in body bags.

They ferry them to a hospital where the bodies are washed and prepared for burial.

Many of the dead in Mara, sh are being interred and freshly dug trenches at the city's main

cemetery.

Workers pull to 16-year-old girl out of the debris alive on Thursday, more than 80 hours

after the powerful quake struck.

But in Mara, where temperatures have hovered around freezing all week, most residents have

given up hope of finding anyone else alive.

Turkish President Erdogan is calling the quake the disaster of the century and the World

Health Organization is warning of a potential secondary disaster in the coming weeks as

millions of people could face shortages of food, fuel and fresh water.

Russia has unleashed a few salat of missile and drone strikes against Ukraine today.

These were aimed at Ukrainian infrastructure.

Ukraine and NATO say Russia is cutting off power to civilians in the middle of winter as

a weapon of war.
