social media companies were grilled by senators today. The lawmakers say the

companies are not doing enough to protect

children online and Perez Derek Perezmore. During a Senate Judiciary

Committee hearing, CEOs from Meta, Tik-Toc, Snap, X, and Discord aim to assure lawmakers they are doing all they can

to keep kids safe. But the lawmakers seemed far from convinced. Here's Senator Lindsey

Families and others have filed dozens of lawsuits accusing the platforms of trading on

content that erodes teens mental health, in some cases contributing to suicide. A bipartisan group of lawmakers is trying to

pass legislation to hold the social media companies accountable for feeding
