Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Corva Coleman. A mammoth winter storm is bearing down on much of the U.S.

Tens of millions of people are under winter storm warnings. National Weather Service meteorologist Frank Pereira says these warnings reach from Albuquerque, New Mexico, across the U.S. to western Pennsylvania.
