The Trump administration continues to express support for the immigration agent who shot

and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis yesterday.

The agent, Jonathan Ross, was involved in another incident last summer.

His arm was trapped in a vehicle and he was dragged as he attempted to arrest a man.

As NPR's Jasmine Garst reports, Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome says he was following his training.

Secretary Nome says the officer who fired the shots was, quote, surrounded and assaulted and locked in by protesters.

She says the woman who was killed Renee Nicole Good bears responsibility. They were impeding our law enforcement operations, which is against

the law. And when they demanded and commanded her to get out of her vehicle several times,

she did not. Democrats have condemned the shooting saying the administration's account conflicts with

the evidence captured in multiple videos. The FBI has said there is an investigation underway. Minnesota

officials say they've been forced to withdraw from the investigation after not being given

complete access to the evidence, witnesses, and information. Jasmine Garz, NPR News, New York.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with a former UN diplomat

who's expected to be on President Trump's Board of Peace for Gaza.

NPR's Michelle Kellerman reports Trump's peace plan is still in phase one,

nearly three months after he announced it.

President Trump has said he will chair the Board of peace, but he hasn't yet named anyone

else, nor has he stood up a promised international force for Gaza.
