and the Milwaukee Brewers did what you're supposed to do after winning 14 games in a row

and then losing a heartbreaker in extra innings. You go play your division rival. You start a five-game series where we told you yesterday how important it was only for the brewers not to get swept.

And they didn't.

And I don't mean swept in the double header.

I meant swept in the whole five-game series.

Remember we did all the math, lose four games to one.

You lost three games. You're still up five. But if you lose five zero, you lose five games and you go

from eight games up to three games up. It's just math. You don't need to know grammar.

Well, the Brewers came in and they pitched their number one starter, their game one starter.

And guess what Peralta did?

He did what you do when you're an ace and a number one.

You either continue a streak or you start a new one.

And that's what he did.

He gave six great innings and the Brewers handled the Cubs

easily in game one of the doubleheader, therefore expanding their lead in the division to nine

games over the Cubs. And then game two got postponed because of rain. So there'll be a double

header today. There still be four more games, but even if the

Brewers lose all four, guess what? They leave a five-game series at Ringley with a five-game lead.

Now, it's gravy time. When you're in that clubhouse and you're trying to figure out how your team

is going to respond after losing a 14 game winning streak.
