Mad Max is the nickname for the starting picture for your Texas Rangers.

Mad Max had not pitched in September 12th, all sorts of talk, shoulder injury, can he

come back?

I assumed he was out for the season, but no.

He throws a few bullpenes, throws a simulated game, and declares himself ready to roll.

This is what we do.

He said in his pre-game press conference, this is why we work out in the office season.

This is why we train.

This is the dream to pitch in the lead championship series to help your team get the ring.

When I was feeling raw, raw, and then I was thinking back to all of my experience and

saying, shoulder injuries are hard to recover from, and hard to recover from quickly.

It's really hard to simulate game action, but let's see what happens early in the game.

So I sit in the desk at CBS Sports HQ, we're talking a little pre-game, and we're saying,

let's look in the first inning, and let's look for fastball command, let's look for Velo,

let's see if he can get his breaking stuff, and use it to set up his fastball.
