One of the things I remember is going to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

On the boardwalk, there used to be this fellow who would just stand in the corner there and hand out little slips about his Irish pub still there today.

And that's how I feel when I do these types of episodes singing for my supper, so to speak.

Arthur, 21st President of the United States.

He's somebody who is probably famous for his lack of being famous,

well known for his obscurity, right, among all the presidents. Because Grover Cleveland's getting

some attention. He's probably moved into the position, fighting it out with Benjamin Harrison

over who is the most obscure president.

But I found that there's a lot there to uncover in his story and how he interacts particularly

with others. He's not always the significant actor, but he's behind the scenes in certain roles.

I mean, he determines the 1880 election, just as one little thing that doesn't often get

mentioned.
