Morning everybody, welcome along to your free podcast for today. Yesterday, we didn't have a free podcast

because yesterday was possibly one of the most bizarre days of my life. And I only call it bizarre

because it was just odd. And still, texts and emails and tweets and, you know, letters and

stuff like that have sort of flooded in, which is ever so sweet, only because I had a bit of a

breakdown on the programme. I did say I'd be back to normal today, but I think you agree this morning.

I was a bit touch and go on a few occasions. But then, you know, now comes the aftermath of Dale's

death and the,

and the papers are talking about the fact that he'd moved from Regent's Park. He was renting a

place. And everybody said the same thing. One of the papers got it wrong. They said, you know,

I'd said that he would kill himself. I never said that at all. I said he'd had enough.

And by having had enough, I was trying to indicate that he wanted to leave the country.

He'd had enough.

He didn't like the way the country was going, and he wanted to go and live in America where he had a place.

But I never said he'd ever kill himself.

That was his mother did that.

That was contrived a long, long time ago. And I think probably affected him ultimately in the way that everything was. But he wasn't happy. And everybody has agreed who knew him. He had a public persona and then there was the private Dale that only a few of us actually knew about. This morning caused outrage, apparently, because they rushed a very disappointing tribute to him.

And so, you know, because everybody said really nice things about him.

Everybody said nice things.

And it's strange because somebody was saying to me, you know, do you think the funeral will be big? I said,

what, he'd ask me about that as well. He said, didn't it'd be a good turnout? We had odd

conversations. Believe you me, we had odd conversations. You do that. When you've known somebody
