And so we kind of went into it being, okay, this is going to be, you know, where you're never going to out kick and punch the John Wicks of the world.

You know, you're never going to have like the cooler oneer than like extraction or something.

You know what I mean?

And so it was like, what are we going to do?

And so we kind of came up with this like this like Nate Fu we called it.

It was like flailing survival

combat or you know what I mean? And it was just like the way that we would fight if we were had to

When the girl of his dreams is kidnapped by gun-wielding bank robbers, he turns his rare condition into an unexpected advantage in the fight to rescue her.

In addition to Novocaine, Burke and Olson's other directorial credits include the feature films Significant Other, Villains, The Stakelander, and Body.

Following a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Burke and

Olson spoke with director Drew Hancock about filming Novocaine.
