Today we're going to be speaking with Alexandra Holzer, who is apparently a fascinating lady who has a really interesting father.

And so let's start this, Alexandra, by asking you about your father and how he got involved with the field of the paranormal.

And then we'll kind of work that into how you got pulled into his world. Mm-hmm.

Well, he was always fascinated with things that were not considered normal.

And what I mean by that is when he was at the age of five in Austria, in kindergarten, he used to tell ghost stories.

So, you know, I mean, it was from a very early age where he always had a fascination with the unknown,

but he was also an intellect, intellectual, I should say.

And so he always wanted to know what caused people questioning dreams and sightings and so forth.

And as he was growing up, he started to be interested in the field of science, hence parapsychology.

And so he kind of followed Joseph Bank Lines, who was the father of parapsychology,

and an Englishman by the name of Carrington, who followed suit as well,

he became father paranormal, but he did it with respect to the field of science.

Now they call him, by the way, Alexander, the original ghost hunter, Hansel.

He is the original ghost hunter.

He coined that phrase, which is like so mainstream today because of cable.

But, you know, his first book was called The Ghost Hunter.

That was his title. He created that.

And he didn't mean for the term to evolve into hunting down ghosts, which it kind of seems to be.

It was a term meaning that you're on the case.
