Hi friends, I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's Life on Earth. The friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we get to read all four books, so make sure you're subscribed and join us

as we read the Gospels together. Invite someone to join in to, especially this month as we are

turning our thoughts and our mind toward what we're thankful for about Jesus. So here's how this

works. I'm going to read three chapters to you today. You can

listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray for what stands out to

me of what I'm thankful for and that is it. So today is November 3rd I'll be

reading Luke chapters 7 through 9.

And this month I'm reading from the CSB.

Luke 7.

When he had concluded saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered

Capernaum.

A centurion servant, who was highly valued by him, was sick and about to die.

When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him, requesting him

to come and save the life of his servant.

When they reached Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly saying, he is worthy for you to

grant this because he loves our nation and has built us a synagogue.

Jesus went with them and when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to

tell him, Lord, don't trouble yourself, since I'm not worthy to have you come under my roof.

That is why I didn't even consider myself worthy to come to you.

But say the word and my servant will be healed, for I too am a man placed under authority,
