We are watching three big things in Congress this morning. First, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will deliver a major speech on anti-Semitism around 10 a.m.

Second, a vote on kicking Representative George Santos out of Congress could come as early as today,

and no later than tomorrow. That's because on Tuesday, two resolutions to expel the New York

congressmen were introduced, and House rules require they be acted on

within two legislative days. Finally, talks over the Ukraine-Aid supplemental, which are now wrapped up

in immigration policy, have hit a rough patch. Joining us now to discuss how Congress and the White

House are approaching the negotiations over border security is White House reporter Maya Ward.

Maya, let's start with the basics.

What's the latest with these negotiations?

Yeah, so really right now narrowed down to three things on the table.

So number one would be asylum reform,

specifically a change to the credible fear standard, which in simple terms means that it could

in theory mean fewer migrants being denied the opportunity to apply for asylum in the first

place. Second thing that is being raised in conversations is a safe third country restriction,

which would prevent people who have passed through Mexico from seeking asylum. And third,

changes to the country's parole system, which allows the president to use, at his discretion,

on a case-by-case basis, this authority for humanitarian reasons.
