We've got a first in playbook Joe Biden's campaign is launching a new TV spot this morning

in Cedar Rapids in Des Moines entitled Commander-in-Chief, and it's exactly what you think it is,

a 30-second spot that attempts to make the case Joe Biden is uniquely qualified for the presidency

because of his decades of experience on the world stage. The imagery features FDR, JFK looking in binoculars, Barack Obama speaking to

soldiers. When Biden says picking up the pieces of the president's foreign policy, it shows Donald

Trump shaking Vladimir Putin's hand. There are a bunch of shots of Biden in military settings,

and when it talks about allies, it shows Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and German

Chancellor Angela

Merkel. This is airing as part of Biden's $4 million buy in Iowa that goes through Caucus Day.

The Washington Post has a full-page spread with this headline. Jared Kushner's new assignment

overseeing the construction of Trump's border wall. The story details how Kushner has become

Trump's border wall, holding bi-weekly meetings and has also pressured U.S. Customs and Border

Protection and the Army Corps of Engineers to speed up the process. If you'll recall, Kushner led the

discussions during the shutdown of late 2018 and 2019, which resulted in a whopping

$0 and zero cents for the border wall.

The post methodically lays out a case in this story that Kushner has no idea what he's doing,

and most of the people around him recognize that.
