Summary

1:42.3	Fact-based TV movies were huge with fatal vision telling the story of the Jeffrey McDonald murders,
1:48.0	the burning bed giving Farah Fawcett some righteous revenge, and the Teresa Saldana story giving victims of violent attacks a voice. Mr. Rogers donated a sweater to the Smithsonian. Guy LaFleur retired. SETI was founded
1:53.4	to find proof of extraterrestrial life and McDonald's made its 50 billionth hamberder.
1:58.3	And finally, as a reminder that things do not have to be awful, as the
2:01.5	Ethiopian famine crisis heated up, the Soviet Union actually helped deliver American wheat to the
2:05.9	starving, because the world's only ugly if we decide it is. That's just as true now as it was in
