In Alabama, Sheriff's deputies responded to a rural home for a reported welfare check.

Inside the home, they found what has been described as the county's most brutal crime scene.

Down in Texas, police responded to a reported domestic assault and found a man dead in his home.

In Kentucky, deputies responded to reports of a shooting outside of a home.

And in Ireland, a financier from Connecticut was found dead near the pool of luxury hotel.

During the early morning hours of Sunday, November 10th, deputies with the Dale County Sheriff's Office ended up responding to a home on Dale County Road 79 in

Midland City, Alabama for a reported welfare check. The reporting party stated they had concerns

for their daughter, 57-year-old

Sherry Clark. Sherry's father also relayed to dispatch that they'd received phone calls from

her employer stating that she hadn't shown up for work that day, which was out of character.

When deputies arrived at Sherry's home, her vehicle was parked in the driveway, but they weren't able to get a response.

Based on the information deputies received, they were able to force entry into the home, and when they made their way inside, they came across what's been described as a quote-unquote horrific and brutal scene.

Deputies found Sherry dead in her bedroom. She was found naked, gagged, and bound.

A subsequent autopsy found that

Sherry died as a result of blunt force trauma and had injuries all over her body,

including cuts on her breasts as well as her vaginal and anal areas.

Fortunately for investigators working the homicide,

they'd identify a person of interest fairly quickly,

based on evidence of the scene.
