Hi friends. I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the

parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we get to read all four books and something we love to say is

this. You don't have to be in the Gospels every day to be changed but every day you're in the

Gospels will change you. I am so thankful that is true in my life and we've heard from

y'all all year long that that is true in your life too in a month where we are really

focusing on what we're thankful for. I am thankful that the gospel's changes me.

Today we're finishing up the Book of John tomorrow we'll jump into Matthew. This is a

Here's how this works. I'm gonna read three chapters to you today. You can listen

or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray and that is it. And remember

we're listening as we read and thinking about how we're thankful for Jesus today.

Then pilot took Jesus and had him flogged.

The soldiers also twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on his head and

clothed him in a purple robe. And they kept coming up to him and saying,

Hail, King of the Jews, and were slapping his face. Pilot went outside again and said to them,

look, I'm bringing him out to you to let you know I find no grounds for charging him.

Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.

Pilot said to them, here's the man. out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.
