With the re-election of Donald Trump, cryptocurrencies are back, and probably this time, they're here to stay.

So whether you've been keeping your money in a mattress or a Monzo account, at the very least, it's time to pay attention.

After all, why should the left stay attached to a money system that the state controls?

And since the last boom, crypto has changed quite a bit.

Although the most famous cryptocurrency Bitcoin still runs on the energy-intensive mechanism

called proof of work, Ethereum, and many other blockchain-based systems have shifted

to what is called proof of stake, and have stopped guzzling so much power

directly in response to climate change concerns. That doesn't mean there isn't a lot of

nonsense still around. Meme coins that shoot for the moon and crash almost immediately abound seemingly
