We are talking about Notre Dame's rooting guide for this weekend, and there's a lot of action in college football.

And yes, while I am still, and while Brian is still confident that Notre Dame does make the playoffs,

there is still a little bit of scoreboard watching and things that will either help Notre Dame's resume or kind of ding Notre Dame's resume, depending on what happens this weekend. Like we've done here the last couple of weeks, we're going to start with Notre Dame's opponents, and then we're going to talk about games at a national level, and then part four today's show. We're going to wrap all that up and preview three games that are happening on Friday in rivalry.

Rivalry week.

You weren't kidding.

That's a tongue twister.

And I could not say it five times in a row, even if I wanted to.

But, Brian, let's talk about some of the Notre Dame opponent games. And thankfully, it is holiday weekend and holiday week.

And so there's going to be college football on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The first game that's going to impact Notre Dame's resume. Navy,

the midshipman, travel to play Memphis, 7.30 p.m. on ESPN. Right now, Memphis is favored by

four and a half points. The over under is set at 57 and a half on Fandu. Yeah, this is a big one, obviously for Notre Dame.

Navy still has an opportunity to play in the AAC Championship.

They need some things to kind of go their way.

But this is obviously one of them.

They've got to win.

If they don't beat Memphis, then they're out of the conversation.

So, you know,

when you look at, I would say I would put a couple things in with this one as far as a rooting

guide. But first and foremost, just Navy getting to nine and two helps Notre Dame. I mean,

it does. Navy getting to nine and two and beating a good eight and three Memphis team on the

road, a Memphis team that has a win over an SEC team. That helps their name's resume. That helps their strength of schedule just flat out. End of sentence, end of story. If Navy loses, it hurts in their name strength of schedule a little bit, but not a ton. So it's not like it's a, oh crap, your playoff hopes are hanging on navy beating memphis but it helps
