I saw first spring practice today.

Let's not overshadow my visit with Bob Diaco. We both spent some times with coordinators

with Notre Dame connections in the last couple weeks. And, you know, I think we'll,

we can probably skip over the NFL combites as spring practices started. Matt, you were out there today.

We talked to Brian Kelly a little bit afterwards.

I think there were some curious, that curious might be overstanding, but like interesting

quote sound bites from him today that certainly struck me in terms of where the offense

is going, where he wants the coaching staff to go, and it may be less so in terms of where the offense is going, where he wants the coaching

So what did the head coach in Nurem say that resonated with you today?

Yeah, I think there was a lot to ask him.

It had been about three months since he had done a group interview in public.

The thing that stood out to me, and I don't know if this was intentional on his part or not,

because it was said over the course of separate questions,

but he got asked about Tommy Reese, and he talked about the importance of having an offense coordinator,

who's also the quarterback coach, and who can get along with the whole offense and know the whole offense.

He mentioned the phrase, demanding not demeaning when talking about the new additions to the staff. He mentioned how he felt if you don't have a full-time tight-ins coach, like they do now, John McNulty. The tight ends get kind of lost in the shuffle when the guy coaching them is the offense coordinator. Now, all this obviously comes back to the guy who's not here right now,
