Gentlemen, the defense did what they needed to today.

Now, there are some things that they have to do to correct and still improve to move forward,

but this was a better showing big picture than what we saw the first three games.

It was because this was a very electric offense.

Brian, I know you got to bounce here soon.

Give us your overall thoughts on the defense, man. Yeah, schematically not a lot changed today,

which was frustrating. That still has to get corrected. Still way too soft in coverage.

I mean, there was a play on a second and 12 where they ran a 10-yard in cut, and literally the 10-yard in cut was in front of everyone on the second and third level of the defense. Like, that just can't happen. It can't happen. There were still too many holes in the seam coverage. The safeties aren't being as aggressive enough. And, you know, oh, Drake Bowen's got to get it. It's a play action pass. You can't ask your middle linebacker on a play action pass and then get up underneath a backside seam route. Like,

that's got to be a better job of the state. There's still some of those issues. Arkansas

ran all over them in the first half, 126 yards at halftime. All those things are true. But two things

they did very well today that that allowed them to be better.

Treves, to your point, this is like Arkansas defense is trash.

Their offense is not trash.

And two things they did really well today.

Number one, they, I mean, you give up yards, give up yards, give up yards, and then you hold them tight in the red zone and outside the red zone and don't let them get touchdowns. Trev, you and I talk about that.

Like, if you hold them to field goals with this offense that you have, that's a win.

They did that twice in this game. Arkansas helped themselves, you know, soft coverage on third and fought for in the first

drive, like easy outcut. The quarterback just missed it. It wasn't pressure. It just missed it.

And it was incomplete pass. Second drive, third and five, they run a swing route that nobody

covers the running back and it's just a bad ball.
