Let's move on to part two of today's, or topic number two, I should say, Brian, of today's podcast.

And we're going to flip it to the other side of the ball.

And we're still talking run game.

And we're going to talk about Notre Dame's run game.

And I know there was some conversation, maybe a little one-sided conversation early on in the chat about how, no, I'm not worried about

Notre Dame's run game and what they do. They're always good. They're always in position to be

really good with the run game. And that's on offense. On offense. Okay. I'm just telling you what was

there. And so, but we're talking about it because Notre Dame is always going to be a team that wants to run the football and be good at running the football.

And their entire offensive strategy from a head coach down is that you got to win in the trenches.

And we just talked about stopping the run game defensively.

And now we're going to talk about they'll run game offensively

and what it needs to do for this Notre Dame team to get to where they want to be in 2024.

This is not a conversation about numbers.

At the end of the year, I expect Notre Dame to be good numbers-wise, running the football.

I mean, they were 189 yards two years ago, 5.3 yards per carry, or excuse me, they were 189.1

yards per game two years ago, 4.6 yards per carry.

Last year, they were at 185.7 yards per game. So a slight

dip. But again, slight dip on a, in shorter games. Yeah. Because the rule changes. But they

were at 5.3 yards per play. You know what I mean? Like the, the end of the year numbers are

going to be good. Last year, Notre Dame running the football, you know, they ranked 28th in yards per game,

but they ranked 13th in yards per play, right?

Those are all good numbers.
