All right, fellas, let's jump into some defensive football.

The offense is going to get the accolades in this one because of the way the score looked but the defense was about as dominant as you could possibly be

in a game i mean if it wasn't for the fact that kennedy erlacker tackled his own guy

there's no chance that Purdue even comes close to

scoring in this game. I mean, bottom line, that was like a 50, that ended up being like a 52-yard

play that I think got them on like within the 10-yard line, I want to say. There's no chance that

Purdue scores points if that's not the case.

And so this defense, obviously that was way in the second half when the backups were in

and everything else.

And Purdue was still with their starters and all of that.

But the way that they played today, we talked about it a little bit earlier in the gut

reaction segment.

I mean, they played with confidence. They played with swagger. I mean, we saw it from across the board.

Even when Jordan Betelho goes out of the game, and by the way, he was having a great game up to that point.

And he goes out, and the other guy's like, we got you 12, and they just kept on playing,

and they kept getting in the face of the quarterback, and they kept making plays. And, I mean, it was, it was about as impressive of a defensive stand as you can possibly have.

And we did this for the offense, so I'll do it for the defense before I let you guys

kind of take off with your thoughts on the defense.

You know, I'm looking at this kind of from a first half, second half standpoint, because

the starters were in for the first half.

Then they start, both sides of the ball started subbing for Notre Dame in the second

half.
