Let's talk defense, gentlemen, and what we're able to ascertain from the defensive side of the football.

Let's go big picture first.

Just some thoughts overall on the defense as we saw them.

Trevor, I'll let you kind of kick this off since you and I were kind of watching defense today.

And Trev, give me your thoughts on the D.

Yeah, I thought they were on the hop today. They were buzzing around. And it's something that you wanted to see from a defense's first day out in fall camp. You know, you want to see them flying around as much as they can without shoulder pads. They weren't going live today. Nobody was being brought to the ground. It was, but there were some small things that I noticed that they were also having a lot of fun out there. I mean, honestly, that was something that you wanted to see. That was something I was going to be paying attention to throughout fall camp to see what was the focus level, what was the level of the intensity out there. I thought the defense brought it today. They were very vocal. We talked about at the start of the show. They were very communicative on the back end of the defense.

impact, but he was very, he was very intentional with his feedback. I thought that he was very,

but like not a get in your face kind of put you down type of feedback.

It was very intense coaching, and I love that style of play.

So big picture for me on defense,

there were some position groups.

We'll get into it in a little bit.

Some I didn't pay as much attention to, not because they had a bad day. It's just they were

steady. There wasn't a whole lot to take away because there are positions on the defensive side.

I think this being a non-padded practice had more of an effect on the defense than it did on the

offense in certain ways. But overall, I thought it was a pretty, it was a good first day of fall camp form. Vince, let me ask you a question. Since you watched it first, let me lead you into this one a little bit. You actually, like, Trev, I appreciate your insights. Trev had some good takeaways from what he saw today. I want to ask you, as it from a comparison sake. Yep.

When you look at this defense compared to past defenses, I want to ask you two questions.

Number one is,

athletically, what did you think? And then lengthwise, how what did think of what you saw from this unit, especially relative to what we've seen, even in the recent history?
