All right, everybody, welcome to another edition of the Irish Breakdown podcast presented by Fanduil. And we are going to jump right into the postgame show, even though there is a little bit of time left in this game. That's what I'm saying. We'll just wrap it up. It's a wrap up show because it's technically not post game. We're going to wrap this thing up. We're going to talk about the game. We're going to talk about the future, the next couple of weeks and what that looks like

and then do some super chats.

And that's going to be how that goes.

And so gentlemen, let's get some initial thoughts on Notre Dame's performance against

Stanford.

What do you think, obviously the fourth quarter is still to be played.

And so part of my feeling is going to be determined by how this team puts Stanford away late in the game.

But, I mean, overall, you needed a convincing victory.

And right now, you're en route to a convincing victory. I mean, that's the big thing. That's the thing that you needed to get. Has it been perfect? Has it been as dominant as we'd want? Has it been as, you know, just, oh, everything is clicking and everybody's on the same page and you're just wearing Stanford out? No, it hasn't really been that. You know,

you've got 408 yards of offense, but 84 of those yards were done by the special teams.

You know, like, that's the thing for me. It's like the defense has been pretty good. The offense

has just been kind of okay. Started off well and then just kind of have faltered a little bit since then.

And it's been a little frustrating.

But it's like we're frustrated about a 42 to 6 lead going into the fourth quarter.

I think this is where this team is.

This team is a very talented, very dominant football team.

And I don't care what anybody says.

I've been on both sides of games like this.

When you're up 35 to 3 at halftime, you know, 42 to 6, it's hard to keep a team just as

locked in as they were when it was nothing, nothing. It is. And you're, you know, you're you're,

you're dominating this team. It's defensive starters still in.

Some of them anyway.
