All right. Let's get to the defense, fellas.

And it was an interesting performance from the defense because I thought they

were actually as sloppy as the offense was at times in the first half. But here's what I love

about this defense right now. They are absolutely relentless. And because they're so relentless, they force mistakes where you may say,

boy, if he makes that throw there, if he hits that open guy there,

if they do this there, that might be a big play.

But they're just so relentless that it's almost like I you're just quarterbacks can't get comfortable

and it's it's not just that oh it's it's this relentless old miss Tennessee caliber pass rush it's

it's it's good it's it's elite coverage it's elite scheme it's just doing enough it's not

overly complicated but it's complicated enough where you's just doing enough. It's not overly complicated, but it's

complicated enough where you're just not quite sure what you're seeing or who's coming,

and you see so many different bodies getting thrown at you. But the one thing that you just

saw another example of today is this team is just really freaking fast on defense. And

there are times today where I'm like,

he might have the edge. And it was like two-yard loss because just Christian Gray comes

out of nowhere and tackles a guy behind the line. And you're just like, I mean, you can't

take advantage of mistakes that they make because they're so relentless. They're so deep.

They're so fast. And teams just can't get

comfortable against them. They really can't. And that's what makes this team really effective. So I don't

know if you guys agree with me. And I'm curious if you agree with, don't agree with me, but then

watch the film, I felt like there were some opportunities, Virginia there today, that they couldn't take advantage of just because of how aggressive this team was. Like the screen pass that I'm thinking of. They threw it to the right, threw it over the guy's head, but Riley Mills just whips somebody, gets his big old hands up. The guy has to try to throw it over him, and he sails it over the running back. And I'm like, if he could have somehow completed that or if Riley Mills doesn't quite get there, doesn't put his hands up, that guys might still be running. He'd probably be to West Virginia by now. I mean, he was, that was there. But just your guy comes in, gets his hands up, and makes a big play. You know what I mean?
