But we are here to go over Devin Fitzgerald's commitment to the University

of Notre Dame. It was just announced about 24 minutes ago. Devin Fitzgerald announced that he was

going to the University of Notre Dame. He chose Notre Dame over Clemson, Stanford, and UCLA,

amongst a host of other offers.

But we're talking about a kid who's of four-star by rivals,

Irish breakdown graded him out as well as a four-star player, top 250 grade,

obviously with room to grow because he still has yet to go into his senior year.

But gentlemen, this is another big pickup for Mike Brown and Mike Denbrock's offense.

Oh, it's really important, guys.

I mean, this is such an important commitment for Notre Dame.

We'll break into the specifics of why, but it's just big picture that they needed a strong

receiver class.

And in two ways, one is to continue to rebuild the depth chart,

but then the other reason is just from a perception standpoint,

there's this stigma out there that Notre Dame can't recruit receivers.

And I'm like, well, you know, the 23 class is pretty good.

The 24 class is pretty good.

And now everybody's surprised at how good Elijah Burris is.

But it's that is there.

And I think there is another level they can take receiver recruiting too.

It's kind of like we've got to learn to sometimes when something isn't as good as other spots that we then make it.
