Yesterday we talked about Malachi Fields coming in.

This time, we're going to talk about a commitment for the 2026 class.

Offensive lineman Ben Nichols has committed to Notre Dame,

and he is now the sixth commitment for the 2026 class, which is exciting.

So that's starting to fill out a little bit.

And I know you know a lot about this kid's backstory and what his journey was getting to this point.

So I'll take it away, man.

Let's hear a little bit about Ben Nichols.

This is a pretty basic one, Trevor.

It's a kid that they identified early.

They've had him in camps, saw him up close and personal, and they've had him on campus a bunch of

times. He was at the Notre Dame USC game last year. He was at the Notre Dame Northern Illinois game

this year. Still like Notre Dame after watching that game, which is always good. It's been on

campus five times. I think the only team he's visited more than their name is Michigan State, which is always good. It's been on campus five times. I think the only

team he's visited more than Notre Dame is Michigan State, which is close to kind of where he lives in

Davis and Michigan. So this is one of those ones that it's not an overly complicated backstory.

I mean, it really isn't. It's one of those ones that you look at and say, okay, they liked him.

He was on campus a bunch, worked out at Notre Dame, was at their summer camp,

and they liked them, and they recruited them.

And he ends up picking Notre Dame over his four finalists,
