We're recapping Notre Dame's jersey scrimmage that happened earlier this morning that you and I were both in attendance at.

We just got done talking about the offense.

Now let's switch gears and talk about the defensive side of the ball.

Just another unit that, again, it was great to talk about the offense matching that intensity

because we've seen Notre Dame teams in the past where, you know, defense is flying around the field,

offense is doing what they can in moments like this. Today it was a lot more even, you know,

punch, counter punch, vice versa. But again, I thought the defense set the tone again today.

I thought they had a really strong day.

And obviously, like we're going to dive into in some of the position groups, we saw more from some than we did some others.

And some of that's just personnel availability across the board on defense.

But I thought as a whole, they had a solid day, things to work on.

But again, it's April 18th.

You really want to come out of practice saying both sides of the ball have things

they've got to get better on and things that they're good at.

And that's what we saw from both sides today.

And the defense was no different.

And I also kind of wonder if some of the success on offense was maybe due to some of the things that the defense was trying to work on today.

And I don't quite understand, I'll be honest with you, why they're still trying to do some of those things.

You know, the one play that Jordan Faison, it's a drop eight.

Why are you, again, still running everyone past the sticks?
