So Treb, the second part of the show is, these are the position groups that I think last season were,

0:26.9

to varying degrees, areas where you need to make a lot more improvement this season.

0:35.0

And part of that need is not just to be better than you were last year,

0:38.8

but part of that need is because if they don't get better,

0:42.3

then the quarterback does need to carry the team more,

0:45.6

and that's where I think this team could get into trouble.

0:48.4

If the three position groups we're going to talk about,

0:51.0

which is a tight end offensive line and receiver in that

0:54.3

order. If they don't play better than they did a year ago and more consistently, more effectively

1:00.9

on a consistent basis than they did a year ago, now you are going to need your quarterback

1:07.0

to go out there and carry your team more and more and more as runners and

1:12.8

throwers. That's how this team could get into some problems, is your quarterback has to play

1:34.4

Because I know the quarterback has talent, but if the past pros is bad as it was last year, these young quarterbacks are going to struggle.

1:41.1

And Steve Angelly is also going to struggle.

1:43.8

He's not a young quarterback. He'll also

1:45.2

struggle because he's not real good at, you know, avoiding sacks, as we have seen throughout

1:50.9

his career. And so you need to protect the quarterback. You've got to be more consistent with

1:56.3

run blocking. You know, Jason Smith, one of my, one of our favorite posters in the chat, made a comment how, you know, the running backs need to be more productive than they were in the playoffs. And they padded stats against a lot of inferior teams. Well, they obviously had good numbers against Indiana, but he's not wrong. I attribute that more to the offensive line than I do the running backs.

2:17.9

You can't hit holes that aren't there.
