Again, I just don't know that the similarities are the same.

We're talking about comparing teams from 30 plus years apart.

I just don't see it.

I mean, Notre Dame was preseason number one.

This team is not preseason number one.

Notre Dame had won a championship two years prior.

And it was coming off a year where there were some people that thought they should have won the championship again,

even losing to Miami because they went out and beat number one Colorado convincingly in the Orange Bowl.

I don't think the expectations for this team are the same. I just don't.

And but if you're comparing Rick Meyer's circumstances to CJ Cars, that's a good comparison

because Rick was a redshirt freshman who was replacing a dynamic run throw quarterback.

He was a different style of player than the guy he was replacing.

In that regard, I could see a similarity.

So, yeah, and I don't think that Kevin McDougal was a better passion than Rick Meyer.

But he was more accurate than Rick Meyer was, but he didn't have the arm the Rick Meyer did.

That part, Andrew, that part of what you said, I could buy highly ranked team first

year starting quarterback, but I think you could make that case for Jimmy in 07.
