Again, this is partially my own fandom bias.

What if, oh, that was really a bad pun that was not intended to be a pun. What if Len Baez doesn't die

in 1986 when he gets drafted by the Celtics? Like, Len Baez was a phenomenal player. And the Celtics

had just won the NBA championship with what some argue is the greatest team ever.

Team went 40 and 1 at home, just dominated in the postseason.

Larry Bird was still in his prime, and Lynn Bias was coming off of a year at Maryland where he was a first team All-American.

He was a 6-8 kind of small forward. He averaged 23 points, seven rebounds that year before.

Just phenomenal athlete. And he would have come in playing with Larry Bird. And then a lot of people said Larry Bird's career

probably would have lasted a little bit longer because Larry, because like

starting in 80, after the 86 season, the Celtics started dealing with a lot of

injuries. And Larry Bird's two best scoring seasons were actually 20,

87 and 88, the two years after his last MVP.

And, well, the 87 season was his third best scoring all time.

The 88 season was his best scoring season of all time.

He averaged 29.9 points.

But he had to do so much because that team just, like, Mikhail was banged up a lot, Paris was banged up a lot, DJ got banged up a lot. And then, you know, obviously, Limbias would have helped a ton with taking some of that pressure off of Larry Bird. So that's a big one for me. Like, would he have been able to that dynasty?
