would you rather ND replace them with a regional team like Michigan State or Purdue

or a more cross-country opponent?

I would rather, we talked about this a little bit the other day, Coach.

I would rather see them put one of those two teams

on a schedule, even if it is a, uh, an alternating. Now, the interesting thing is,

Notre Dame in USC, I believe, are done after 2026, correct? Correct. I think that's the last year

that they have, that they're on Notre Dame schedules, 2026, correct? Correct. I think that's the last year that they have, that they're on Notre Dame

schedules, 2026. So they play November 28. Starting 2027, they're not on it. Well, in 2027, Notre Dame

already has Purdue and Michigan State on the schedule. Same year. They're both on the schedule in 26.

They're both on the schedule in 28. They're both on the schedule in 28.

So then the question, 27. So then the question is, okay, now Purdue's on the schedule in

2028. Purdue's on the schedule, Michigan states or Michigan comes on the schedule later.

So from 25 to 28, you already have one or both of those teams on the schedule.

And so in two of those years, 26 and 27, you already have both of those teams in your schedule.

So in that particular year, I'd say, okay, replace USC with a more national game.

You know, maybe you can find a West Coast team to play. Maybe you go out

there and play Cal. Maybe you go play Washington. Maybe, you know, something like that. Maybe you play a

big 12 team down in Dallas or, you know, Kansas City or, you know, you could find a couple

different games to play that are out of your norm. But once those two teams come back off the schedule, I would try to get them back on

the schedule.

That's what I would like to do.
