Brian, which past CFP winners?

Does Freeman want his team to resemble Michigan Power Running Team or Ohio State Balance Team? Or is there another team that comes to mind?

2002, Ohio State? I mean, what does he want them to look like?

I think if Freeman had his way, I think he probably wanted to look like the

2023 Michigan team.

I think Mike Denbrock would probably prefer, you know, probably 22, Georgia with a little

better running game. I think it's kind of is where is more up the wheelhouse for Mike Denbrock. I think he wants to have a very balanced, explosive team that can run the football and, you know, throw it downhill. Run it downhill, throw it downhill. You know, I think it's kind of where Mike Denbrock would want the offense to be. And I think at the end of

the day, Marcus Freeman's allowing him to build that offense. I mean, we didn't have any issues last year. I don't remember any games where I felt like, man, why is Freeman putting the handcuffs on Denbrock like we felt he was doing early in 2024? That wasn't an issue. At least I don't remember being an issue in 2025 at all.

So I think he wants a team. At the end of the day, while Marcus Freeman might have a preference, Sean, for a team that's more run-oriented, I think at the end of the day, he just wants a team that's physical that can run when they want to or need to, and that's disciplined. I think he's more understanding, hey, look,

you can win throwing the football, you know, like, but we're not going to win throwing

the football like Texas Tech did back in the day. You know what I mean? Like, we're still going to

be able to run the football. If that means we also throw to football really well,

it's great. But, you know, so what does that look like? I think probably the closest recent

champion to that would probably be 2022 Georgia with a slightly better run game. Maybe 2024,

Ohio State would be an example of that, you know, again, but with a better run game.

I think he would like to be a little bit of a better running football team.
