Fortuna has been waylaid by food poisoning.

So probably much worse.

We're pleased to have an emergency standby guest, Paul Burmeister, the voice of the Notre Dame

Radio Network.

Got I up close you one booth down from where I was last night watching Notre Dame's 1614 loss to Stanford.

Paul, I think you're back in Connecticut now survived the journey home.

But man, it was it was a performance that was hard to make sense of in real time.

And if you're like me, I think kind of your head's been spinning a little bit since trying to get a better grip on it.

And maybe you have.

But 12 hours after the fact, I'm not sure that I have a whole lot more clarity on what I watched on Saturday night than I did as it was happening.

I don't know.

I mean, hopefully I'll be able to add some clarity.

I know this can be two guys

commiserating trying to figure it out a little bit. And when you told me Matt had food poisoning,

I didn't know that he was at a different Big Ten game yesterday. I started backtracking through the

press box food. I'm like, oh no, is this going to be something that strikes all of us? So

that was some good news.

But as for the task at hand here, trying to figure out what happened or what didn't happen last night in South Bend, we all kind of try and make sense of it different ways.

I'm just kind of going back through the game.
