I was all set to be in New Orleans for a couple days. Turns out, nope, they're going to Dallas instead for the Rose Bowl. That's not the Rose Bowl. So Brian Kelly's rant on Friday actually was applicable to Notre Dame. Matt, I guess I think we have to ask the, did the committee get it right question? But, I mean, just was sort of your reaction to Notre Dame being in at number four? My reaction is, I thought you were in a different house in your room. There's plants.

There's obviously working Wi-Fi.

I've been to the South Penn Airport many times.

I can't say I ever noticed they had a business center.

I want to take a moment to applaud Pete Sam's at the top of the show for hustling and knowing

no ends to making this work so we can give you the content you deserve as NERDA.

It makes the playoff for the second time in three years. And I think the only anxiety

worse than Nerdyne fans waiting for that bracket unveiling was Pete trying to get a Wi-Fi

signal on his flight. Back to South Ben. To your point, my initial reaction, I think they got it right.

I felt with the benefit of time, much like you said, when you can take a step back from the emotions of the moment, which was not good last night for Notre Dame, you look at the body of work.

And unless you wanted to come out of left field and throw Cincinnati in there, which frankly,

I would have no problem with, even though that's never, ever going to happen.

And we still don't know where they're ranked because they're not in the top six.

I thought Notre Dame was in really good shape.

And it turned out to me that way.

But the surprise, as you said, is going to Dallas and not to New Orleans.

I don't know how much of a difference that makes.

Gary Barta said on the ESPN show, they try to give the number one seat the advantage,

and Dallas is allowing a lot more fans than New Orleans is,

so they thought it would be more appropriate for the number one seat,

in this case, Alabama, to have the opportunity to have

...
