Well, listen, we got one more group that we got to talk about here on defense.

For the strength part, right?

Yep, yep, for the strength part.

And that is the defensive tackles.

Now, this one for me, I don't know about you guys.

And I'll kind of give my piece here and then hand it off.

This was a tougher group for me to evaluate in comparison to the secondary and the

linebacker group.

And Brian, you and I talked about this when we started planning for this show.

And the production from the group from the defensive tackles as a whole, I would say was

relatively consistent and considered a strength in 2024, but you never knew who it was going to come from, especially early on.

We talked about how Howard Cross and Riley Mills' performance was up and down, but Jason O'Neilley was filling in, and there was a lot of people early in the season that said he was their best interior defensive linemen.

But then Jason O'Neilley steps away from the team then riley mills and howard cross pick it up around louisville stanford and they're off and run it but then

howard cross gets hurt but then donovan heinish comes in and fills and he is arguably more productive

ripped off four sacks in two games you you know, between when he subbed in at

Florida State and the Virginia game, you know, and then unfortunately Riley Mills goes down.

But then Gabriel Rubio steps up and has a pretty good game against Georgia.

So I do believe that this was a strength of the team, but where some people, and I would agree

with their sentiment, where the frustration

lied is you kind of outside of Riley's stretch, Riley Mills's stretch from really Louisville to the

second half of IU. He was dominant every week by that point time. Yeah, he was. But outside of that

stretch, which was as crazy as it to say, technically half of the season, you never really knew who it was going to be. You knew it was going to be somebody, but you just didn't know who it was going to be.
