We are talking about Notre Dame's defense and their keys to victory and their senior day matchup over the Syracuse Orange.

Now, a little bit of a different tonality talking about this Notre Dame defense because they've been playing absolutely lights out, absolutely lights out over the last couple of

weeks.

In their last seven games, they're giving up 12.3 points per game, 291 total yards of offense

over the last seven games, 196 passing yards, 95 rushing yards.

And that includes a 200 rushing yard performance against Navy.

So this defense has been humming on all cylinders.

They're facing an offense that has been struggling,

especially ever since the injury to Steve Angelli.

So a lot of our keys to victory today, folks, are going to be geared towards that.

It's, okay, we look at this matchup on paper,

dominating defense over the last month and a half,

going up against a really struggling offense.

What do we have to see from this unit, Brian?

Yeah, I mean, we'll get into specifics, one, two, three, and four.

But at the end of the day, Trevor, a lot of this just comes down to, again, keep doing what you're doing.

I mean, like on offense, it's a lot of, hey, you're close, but improve here, here, here, here, and here.

You're shown flashes, but need to see more consistency here, here, here, here, and here.

When you look at the defense, Trevor, it really has been about you've been pretty dominant pretty consistently.

And outside of, I'll just even say just three blown coverages against USC.

The last six weeks, you've been as good as any defense in college football.
