All right. Let's talk a little defense. The Notre Dame defensive class is very interesting because it's a pretty good defensive class. And there's no doubt about it. But they're also walking into a situation where we've got a pretty loaded depth chart coming back. You've got a lot of defensive

linemen coming back, a lot of veterans stepping into roles. You've got a, your linebacker

class was really good. They followed up another really good linebacker class, which makes

a little bit more challenging. You've got a really good corner class coming in who follow

a pretty good, two pretty good corner classes. and you see kind of where it's going.

So it's going to be difficult for a lot of the freshman defensive players to earn significant playing time as rookies without there being injuries.

Having said that, I do believe the freshman class will make an impact on defense this year.

And so, again, we'll do instant impact players.

We'll do guys that have key rotational roles, and then we'll have guys who are going to be red shirts.

And so let's kick things off, obviously talking about the instant impact players.

And I have two.

I believe that there could be a third if there are injuries. But as of now, barring, you know,

something that's unforeseen, I have two guys. And I'm going to start off up front. And that's

with Bryce Young. Now, technically,

Bryce Young right now is third string on the depth chart, right? Let's, I mean, that's the reality,

but he's going to play. And I love the big end position. They just, Notre Dame just calls it

defensive end. That's the field spot and then Vipers, the weak side boundary spot. So when we say

defensive end, we're, you know, for Notre Dame's defense, we're talking about that big end

position.

I love the depth there.
