All right, Sean, in part two of today's show here on the Irish Breakdown podcast brought to you by Fanduil.

We are going to be talking about Notre Dame's defense versus the Purdue offense.

And this is the hot topic of discussion.

This is the one that we all, all lights are the brightest on this.

Because look, at the end of the day, Notre Dame's offense is going to be able to put up points on produce defense. There is no doubt in my mind about that. If not, there's a much bigger issue

at hand than what we thought. But if the sample size that we've seen in the first two games is

any inclination of what this offense is capable of, like we said, through sloppy play and

met performance of the offensive line with C.J. Carr still

throwing an interception. With you averaging 3.5 yards of carry on offense, you still put up

33 offensive points against Texas A&M's defense at home. I'm very confident in this

offense's ability to score. What I'm not confident in, however, is this defense's ability to

keep teams out of the end zone.

But look, when you look at this matchup big picture, we're going to see if Notre Dame has made any real changes or if they're going to keep doing what they're doing.

This is a side of all that I'm going to be focused on the most.

And, Sean, I'm willing to bet that you're in the same vote here.

There's so much that we need to see.

I heard the players talk.

One of the things that stood out to me,

they don't come across to me as a defeated team.

I think they're very disappointed.

I think they don't like starting from this hole.

I think they know it's a tall task and a tall mountain
